Why bamboo? Bamboo is just as hard-wearing as plastic! That said, it's more pleasant to the touch, and more environmentally friendly. Yes, at the end of your natural toothbrush's life, its natural 100% bamboo wood handle is compostable and biodegradable (simply remove the polyamide and charcoal or polyamide and bamboo bristles). And bamboo production also has a low environmental impact. At Avril, you'll find bamboo soap dishes and bamboo combs.
Our tips for keeping your toothbrush in good condition: your natural toothbrush is supposed to stay with you for 3 months (the period recommended for changing any toothbrush). That said, bamboo doesn't appreciate high humidity, and traces of mould can appear if you don't look after your natural toothbrush. As a result, we advise you not to leave it in water (especially the wooden handle in a bathroom glass with a base of water), and ideally to dry the handle after each use.
