The right selection for mature skin
1. Removing make-up and cleansing
Make-up removal is essential to rid the skin of impurities. Use a make-up remover that suits your skin type: mature skin generally appreciates generous formulations such as balm, oil or milk. Then cleanse your skin to remove the last traces of impurities.
2. I firm and boost the effectiveness of my skincare product
Applying a serum before your cream boosts its effectiveness. Its action is complementary. You can use two serums to treat two different problems, by applying the firming serum in the morning and the unifying serum in the evening, for example. However, do not superimpose several serums.
3. I moisturize and smooth fragile areas
The area around the eyes and lips is the first to show the signs of aging, because the skin is so thin. Apply a specific skin care product to these areas.
4. I moisturize and treat the signs of aging
Next comes the day cream, to be applied daily to the entire face in upward strokes. Don't forget the neck and décolleté, areas that tend to show signs of aging because the epidermis there is more fragile.
5. Pampering my skin for the night
Massage the equivalent of a pea onto your face, neck and décolleté to lock in the active ingredients in your skincare products and maximize their effectiveness.
6. Weekly ritual
To go one step further, once a week, refine skin texture with a scrub. Then boost firmness with a lifting mask.
Make-up for mature skin
Choose light, fluid or creamy textures. Use a smoothing base to smooth skin texture and fine lines and/or an illuminating base to brighten the complexion. Be a minimalist: don't overload your skin with material, as it will tend to creep into fine lines.
