The selection best suited to your mature skin
The needs of mature skin
Over time, cell renewal naturally slows down. The production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid decreases, making skin thinner, more fragile, and sometimes drier. This is what we call intrinsic aging.
Added to this are our lifestyles and our environment (sun, pollution, lack of sleep, etc.), which disrupt and accelerate this natural process.
At Avril, we believe that aging is an opportunity! That while the signs of time may not disappear, they can be enhanced. So, to celebrate your story and meet your skin's true needs, we have created a new range of expert, certified organic skincare.
Express Routine
This routine offers a comprehensive approach to supporting your skin according to its needs. It's there to guide you, not to impose. Make it your own: keep what works for you, simplify if needed, or pick and choose a few steps as you wish. Want to focus on the essentials? We recommend following only steps 1, 4, and 5.
1. I remove my makeup and cleanse
Removing makeup is essential to rid your skin of impurities. Use a makeup remover suited to your skin type: mature skin generally benefits from richer textures such as balms, oils, or milks. Then cleanse your skin to remove any remaining traces of impurities.
2. I regenerate my skin, firm it, and even out my complexion.
Applying a serum before your cream allows for deep penetration, resulting in visibly regenerated skin. Take one or two drops of serum and apply it to your entire face, neck, and décolleté.
3. I moisturize and smooth the delicate areas.
El contorno de ojos y labios es la primera zona en mostrar signos de envejecimiento debido a que la piel en estas áreas es muy fina. Aplique un tratamiento específico con suavidad.
4. I hydrate, I nourish, and I address the signs of aging.
Next comes the day cream, which should be applied daily to the entire face using upward strokes. Don't forget the neck and décolletage, areas prone to showing signs of aging because the skin there is more delicate.
5. I pamper my skin at night and boost cell renewal
It's at night that skin renews itself. The perfect opportunity to pamper it with intense nourishment and protection. Apply the night balm to the face, neck, and décolleté, always using upward motions.
6. Weekly ritual
To take it a step further, once a week, refine your skin's texture with an exfoliant. Then boost firmness with a lifting mask or by applying the night balm as a mask.
Makeup suitable for mature skin
Opt for light, fluid, or creamy textures. Use a smoothing primer to refine skin texture and minimize fine lines, and/or an illuminating primer to brighten your complexion. Keep it minimalist: don't overload your skin with product, as it will tend to settle into fine lines.
