Your summer makeup routine
1. Preparing My Complexion
Creating a luminous base is the first step to successful summer makeup. Generally, foundation isn’t necessary in the summer and will tend to run. Simply brighten your complexion by applying a brightening cream, a primer, or a BB cream all over your face. Opt for a fluid, moisturizing texture that evens out your complexion with a sheer finish without a heavy feel. Apply it with a blender by gently patting.
2. I enhance my complexion
Adding color to your cheekbones and eyes is the key to achieving a fresh, sun-kissed look. Opt for a travel-friendly product like a multistick that can be applied to your cheeks, eyelids, and lips. On the eyelids, a simple back-and-forth swipe with your finger is enough to brighten and warm up your eyes.
Another option if you want a sun-kissed effect is to apply a light dusting of healthy-glow powder to the areas naturally tanned by the sun (forehead, nose, chin, jawline) using a large, soft brush.
3. Enhance Your Eyes
Apply a coat of mascara to your lashes to intensify your look. That’s all it takes!
4. I apply lip gloss
Finish with a touch of lip oil in the color of your choice. The lip oil deeply nourishes like a balm while providing the shine of a gloss, without any stickiness. Slip it into your beach bag to refresh the shine on your lips at any time of day.
5. Setting My Makeup
With the heat and sweat, makeup tends to run. To set your look, spritz on a little makeup setting spray for a look that lasts through anything!
6. I paint my nails
Adorning your hands with vibrant shades is the final step to complete your summer look. Summer is the perfect time to experiment with bold or pastel shades that instantly make your tan pop. Apply two thin coats for intense color and finish with a top coat to make your manicure shine in the sun.
7. I remove my makeup
Cleansing your skin at the end of the day is an essential step to let it breathe and regenerate. Choose the type of makeup remover that works best for you. However, it’s recommended to double-cleanse: first remove your makeup, then cleanse to remove any remaining makeup and sunscreen residue.
As for your nails, remove your polish using a gentle, acetone-free nail polish remover.
